EMILIA SCHÜLE our first contributor

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome the enchanting german actress, Emilia Schüle, as our first contributor to provide us with exclusive insights into her summer travels in 2023.

Emilia's images tell their very own story and convey an extremely cinematic feeling. We are particularly enamored with her ability to capture a range of emotions with her moody imagery and impeccable angles. She effortlessly transitions between eye-level shots and intriguing perspectives, creating a diverse and engaging visual experience.

She carried the Leica M6 rangefinder camera and the Leica Minilux point-and-shoot camera in her luggage. These carefully selected images were captured using the versatile Portra 400 film stock by Kodak.

„The camera has always been a faithful companion in my life. It was during the pandemic that, for the first time in life, I lost my drive and inspiration for photography. I decided to bring it back by starting to shoot on film.

What can I say…? I fell in love with it all over again! No more endless snapping; a mindful, decelerated process of creating an image. Analogue photos leave room for anticipation and surprise. The ecstasy you feel by seeing your newly developed prints is unparalleled.
